Is uneven ground really that much of a problem? Why would you want to have a sloping backyard leveled out?
Even here in New Mexico, rain falls and erosion affects the landscape. An uneven property level can cause flooding and leave plants weakened due to lack of water and excessive exposure. If you want to adjust the landscape, you need a level ground to build on. CBS Quality Lawn Care
can give you that!
What Does Leveling Involve?
Dirt doesn’t always settle itself evenly, and ground with a clear slope or dip can make landscaping difficult. Water may wash away from plants that need it, collect near house foundations and cause rot at the base of wooden fences. Plants set in uneven ground can end up with exposed root systems as wind and rain erode the top soil. Maintenance
of any landscape is much more difficult if the ground isn’t leveled.
Dirt leveling involves examining the area to be leveled, measuring the amount of dirt to be removed, calculating the angle and physically clearing away the excess dirt. If some areas need to be filled in, the dirt is transported to create a level plane.
Wheelbarrows, shovels, heavy equipment and a lot of effort are all required to properly handle dirt leveling. The result is worth the investment of time and money, but why put yourself through weekends of back-breaking work if you don’t have to?
